Katherine Russeau, Psy.D., has been a licensed psychologist in Wisconsin since 2022. She received advanced forensic training in competency evaluations through the Wisconsin Forensic Unit in 2023. She currently performs adult and juvenile competency to stand trial and criminal responsibility evaluations through Behavioral Consultants, Inc. and the Wisconsin Forensic Unit.

 

Dr. Russeau earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois – Champaign/Urbana in 2017. She subsequently attended the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology where she earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology in 2019 and a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology in 2022. During her studies, Dr. Russeau obtained graduate-level clinical training in a variety of settings, including private outpatient clinics, a residential facility for individuals committed via Chapter 51, an inpatient psychiatric hospital, and a state psychiatric mental health institute. She also provided competency restoration treatment through BCI. Dr. Russeau completed her predoctoral internship at the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. In addition to her work with BCI and WFU, Dr. Russeau currently works part-time at a minimum-security prison.
