Senior Remediation Specialist - OCRP / JBCR

Jo Jahner, M.A. received her Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from the University of Wisconsin—La Crosse. Ms. Jahner’s academic and research experience spans multiple areas within forensic psychology. Her graduate thesis examined the impact of pretrial publicity related to race and mental illness on juror decision-making. During her graduate studies, she interned with the Implementation Science & Practice Advances Research Center (iSPARC) at UMass Chan Medical School, where she contributed to juvenile risk assessment research. She also provides training and consultation support for National Youth Screening & Assessment Partners (NYSAP), where she oversees performance evaluations for staff trained in juvenile risk/needs assessment instruments and individualized service planning.

Ms. Jahner joined the Behavioral Consultants, Inc. team in February 2020. As the Senior Remediation Specialist, she is responsible for delivering court-ordered psychoeducational services to adult defendants. Her duties also include providing supervision and clinical support to Remediation Specialists statewide, ensuring quality assurance, and coordinating with multidisciplinary partners involved in the Outpatient and Jail-Based Competency Restoration Programs.
