Alexandria Ventress-Taylor, Psy.D., is the postdoctoral forensic psychology fellow with Behavioral Consultants, Inc. (BCI) and the Wisconsin Forensic Unit (WFU) from Fall 2025 – Fall 2026. She performs a variety of forensic examinations under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. Dr. Ventress-Taylor earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2021. She subsequently attended the University of Denver, earning her master’s degree in 2023 and her doctorate degree in clinical psychology in 2025. As a graduate student, Dr. Ventress-Taylor obtained clinical training primarily with individuals diagnosed with severe mental illnesses. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Mendota Mental Health Institute, a public psychiatric hospital in Madison, Wisconsin, where she specialized in competency evaluation/restoration, risk assessment with insanity acquittees, and treatment of adjudicated juvenile youth.

 

Dr. Ventress-Taylor is passionate about providing ethical and culturally competent care to underserved populations. Her work is driven by a commitment to integrating cultural context into forensic practice, ensuring fairness, accuracy, and equity within her evaluative services.
